Keosha was raised in Robeson County, North Carolina, and completed her undergraduate education in 2008 by earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Keosha graduated with the highest distinction of Summa Cum Laude and was inducted into Phi Sigma Alpha a distinguished National Political Science Honor Society and Alpha Chi a notable National Honor Society. While attending The University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Keosha received several honors and awards making the Chancellor’s list all semesters; the National Dean’s List 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008; received the Native American Merit Scholarship each semester; received the Academic Enhancement Scholarship Fall 2007; received the American Indian Service Scholarship each semester; and was nominated and accepted into Who’s Who Among College Students in American Universities and Colleges. Keosha also spent much of her time as a volunteer helping to tutor students in various subjects of math. After graduation Keosha began attending the Charlotte School of Law in 2009 where she planned to receive her Juris Doctor. While there, Keosha received the Merit Scholarship, was on the Dean’s List, became a member of Women in Law, Delta Theta Phi, The Mecklenburg Student Bar Association, the American Bar Student Association, along with becoming a member of other various organizations, and volunteered with Charlotte Law Cares.

After completing her first year of law school at Charlotte, Keosha transferred her Juris Doctor education to Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School located in Atlanta, Georgia where she received her J.D. in 2012. While in law school in Atlanta, Keosha participated in the trial advocacy program, became a member of several organizations, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. Keosha also interned with Georgia Legal Services Program while raising her only child. From her time at GLSP Keosha earned valuable experience in family law, divorce, and various other areas of civil litigation both inside and outside of the courtroom.

Keosha was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in August 2012 and worked for a local law office in Robeson County from February 2013 to January 2015 at which time she decided to branch out and open her own law practice. Keosha is the owner and managing attorney for The Law Office of Keosha Hunt, P.L.L.C. Keosha practices in both criminal and civil litigation for the firm. Keosha is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Robeson County Bar Association.
